I have lived most of my life with chronic illness. After many, many years of asking God for more energy, more time, and more resources, I finally came to understand that I already have everything I need to live a life of beauty, joy, and higher purpose, despite my circumstances. The challenges I have faced have caused me to reflect on what I value and make choices as to what I give my time and energy to. This requires constant shifting of focus and lots of creativity to meet the changing demands of life. I am learning to give myself grace and understand that the journey is a journey of a lifetime, not a sprint. I am learning to challenge my expectations and redefine success. Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how much I have accomplished, but rather, that what I have accomplished is true to who I am and has made the world a better place.
I have also come to understand that managing the diets, exercise routines, and treatments of multiple, conflicting conditions is tricky at best, and requires both internal and external resources for me to sustain. I have come to understand the importance of having connection and relationship with others who can relate to the challenges and experiences I have gone through. This came into laser focus for me during the COVID-19 pandemic.
My professional background is diverse, largely due to having to adapt to changing health needs, but has prepared me better than I could have ever planned to lead Life Unbound Ministries.
I have worked most of my life in health and wellness fields, including medical social work, occupational therapy, massage therapy, and administration. I have had the privilege of working for both large international and small, local nonprofit organizations where I have gained professional and on-the-job training in public administration of programs and community education; volunteer recruitment, retention, and management; working with special interest groups and the public sector to find win-wins and leverage resources for the greater good; and most importantly, have had a lifetime of opportunities to work with and learn from vulnerable populations and the importance of person-centered care. I have additionally been blessed with the opportunity to learn and practice coaching, group facilitation, and adult education techniques. In 2017, I launched Mountain Valley Seasonings, LLC, a spice and tea company devoted to meeting the needs of people with food allergies and sensitivities.
I enjoy volunteering for multiple organizations and mentoring/coaching women. I am passionate about connecting people with resources. It seems God has been preparing me for this for a long time. I am very excited to be a part of what he is doing!
Director of Occupational Health at Community Hospital.
Stephanie is obtaining her Business Administration degree from Colorado Christian University. She has a wealth of information, not only in the business world but is the mother of 3 wonderful children, one of which has a rare genetic condition. It is out of a mother's heart advocating for her child that led her down this career path. We are so thrilled to have her as a vital member of our leadership!
Figure Skating Coach at Glacier Ice Arena and Heath & Fitness Enthusiast.
My passion for health and fitness began at a young age when I was a competitive figure skater. I found out I was insulin sensitive after having episodes of lightheadedness and fatigue all while trying to be the best athlete I could be. My journey continued as I went on to compete in an NPC Figure competition and learn how to take care of my body with nutrition and exercise. I found a love for coaching when I started teaching figure skating lessons in 2018. My mission is to help people feel as good as they can from the inside out and increase the quality of life for those around me.
Rheumatologist at Arthritis Center of Western Colorado & Health Coach.
